Welcome to the inbetweeny bit where Christmas is over but it’s not 2024 yet… I hope your Christmases were as drama-free and calm as is possible.

As you’ll have seen in my previous post, the first of this series, with the lovely Jane Asple from Emma by Jane, the idea of something being a ‘guilty pleasure’ really bothered me, so I came up with this idea to remedy that.

My guest this week is someone I really admire online (although we don’t know each other beyond that) – Hilary McGann, whose Instagram account News By Hil is my go-to place for non-overwhelming, balanced and informed news content. She also runs a current affairs Patreon, should you want more from her. She’s Irish, based in Boston, and here are her guiltless pleasures.
