A quick note to say three things, two not important and one QUITE important.
I really hope you read/enjoyed the piece earlier about the woman who cheated on her husband. I literally put a call out on Instagram and this woman’s story was so compelling and she was so good at telling it that I knew I had to write it up. There was SO much more that we talked about that I had to chop for brevity, but if it gets a good reaction, I might do a part 2?
The second thing is there’s a post coming up soon about Hyrox. What it is, why it’s blown up so dramatically in Ireland and worldwide, and why it’s so addictive. I’ve just completed one in Berlin, and have done Malaga and Dublin twice – I am evidence of the addictive nature.
I’ve decided, after YEARS of consideration, and consultation with you guys, that I’m going to start giving you guys affiliate links if I choose to link out to something I love. I deliberated AT LENGTH, as I’m sure you know, given I asked about this way back in the early stages of being on Patreon, long before I’d even moved here to Substack.
The decision came with caveats, I guess: I am only going to use the AF links here, with my subscribers, on Substack. Because firstly I want you guys to get the best recommendations first, but also because I want you to know it’s not a money grab – I’m not going to put any on Instagram because I don’t think everyone there will see it in as trusting/understanding a way as I know you guys will. You – for the most part – have supported me either financially or by reading here, so I want to keep it to just our community.
The platform I’ve chosen to use is ShopMy, and the only time I’ll link to it on Instagram is in DMs if someone asks for a specific recommendation, ie. for perioral dermatitis etc, that sort of thing.
Here’s the link, and if you’d like to see me add any particular categories or ‘shelves’ as they call them, just message me or comment and your wish will be my command.
That’s all for now, that was just a little note to say what’s happening and to also say thank you for the very encouraging comments urging me to do the AF thing. I’m so grateful to you all for trusting me with it.
