I needed to read this today! Feeling total imposter syndrome and burnout in a job I hate after leaving a job I loved to “grow”. It’s nice to know others feel like this and going back doesn’t mean your going backwards
100% – just because you're not stretching yourself doesn't mean you're stagnant or not doing well already. Stay in your comfort zone until you're in a safe place to feel discomfort! xx
I love this. I remember Marian Keyes talking about this before. She was like what's wrong with a comfort zone, it's comfortable, that's great! I am just about hanging on with the day to day of working full time with two smallies and no village. I am already stretched without some LinkedIn nonsense making me feel I am not doing enough unless I am hustling constantly.
I love this perspective. Always being *out* of my comfort zone seems like it would wreak havoc on my nervous system! I'd love a more delicate balance between zones : )
Congratulations on finding that comfort zone. I spent many years in it and have no regrets. Some of the A types I worked with didn't understand it, but I understood what was driving the A types 😅 😳 and they were not always happy. I supported the A's and they appreciated it.🤗.
Loved this, so much to think about. Also the demise of magazines 💔
Wouldn't it break your heart? The thing I ADORE doing, the thing I spent 15 years becoming really good at.... GONE. Poof! Into the ether.

Thank you for reading as always Joan! When you’re already stretched, staying in your comfort zone is not just okay, but for the best <3
